Fellowship Program

Coordinators

Anne Caputo is the 2008 Vestry program coordinator and Ruth Corlett is the non-vestry program coordinator for the fellowship program.

Coffee Hour

Following the 7:30 AM Sunday Eucharist, coffee is served in the St. Mark Room (on the second floor of Merrow Hall). After the 9:00 AM Eucharist (10:00 AM in the summer), coffee is served in the Merrow Hall auditorium (on the third floor). After the 11:15 AM Eucharist, coffee hour is held in the Commons (lobby outside the parish office). Volunteers prepare and serve coffee and tea punch and are responsible for cleanup.

Foyers

Foyers are groups of parishioners (usually 8 to 12) who meet monthly at one another's homes for a simple supper and social time. Foyers that wish to include children may also be arranged. Sharon and Phil Hickok are the coordinators.

Parties and Potlucks

Grace Church has parties and potluck suppers at various times throughout the year. Help is always needed to set up, bring food, work in the kitchen and clean up. Prior to most special events, posters are displayed in the church, and everyone is encouraged to sign up for one or more tasks.

Shrine Mont Retreat

Each fall, the second weekend in September, Grace parishioners have a weekend retreat at Shrine Mont in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The weekend is filled with worship, fellowship, and lots of activities—all of which are optional. Barry Barr and Jean Centers are the coordinators for 2008.

Regular Thursday Night Potluck Dinners

Each Thursday at 6:30 PM, parishioners bring a dish to share in a potluck supper in the Auditorium in Merrow Hall. All are welcome. Lorna Worley is the Coordinator.

Young Adults: Twenties and Thirties (TNT)

The TNT program provides social, spiritual and service activities for young adults, ages 20 – 40. Heather Hurley is the vestry program coordinator for 2007 and Marianne Swearingen is the non-vestry program coordinator.

Youth

Through the Youth Program, Grace Church offers youth several opportunities for fun, fellowship and service, meeting on Sunday evenings as announced.  During the school year, one of the parish's programs hosts a dinner for the youth of the parish once a month on a Sunday evening. The three groups correspond to the three Sunday School classes for grades six to twelve and use the Journey to Adulthood curriculum. Rich Kelly is the 2008 vestry program coordinator for youth and Chrissie Crosby is the non-vestry program leader.
