The Pastoral Care Ministries seek
for all of us to “love one another as I have loved you.” We believe that our
time, talents and treasures can be used to reach out to parishioners and
friends with needs and ease their concerns with our support and caring. Time
commitment for each ministry is different.
Coordinators
Cindy Diehl is the 2008 Vestry program coordinator
and Nancy Robinson is the non-vestry program coordinator for the Pastoral Care
Program.
Stephen Ministry
Stephen Ministry provides training
for lay people to establish an ongoing relationship of care with one person
who is in a time of crisis or transition in life. Training and
supervision are provided. Cindy Diehl is the coordinator.
Flowers arranged from our altar
flowers are taken each week to those who are hospitalized or
homebound. Volunteers make the deliveries on Monday mornings. Nancy
Robinson
is the coordinator.
Volunteer correspondents each write
one card a week to someone on our prayer list, chosen by the clergy. Lana
McGlynn and Sarah Schultz are the coordinators.
Grace keeps in touch with parish
college students with exam care packages and birthday cards. Nancy Robinson
is the coordinator.
Meals are provided in times of
crisis to parishioners designated by the clergy.
