VERSE OF THE DAY:
Man is like to vanity: his days are as a shadow that passeth away. -- Psalm 144:4

A Welcome Message from Our Rector.....

I am glad you have found our website, and I hope all that you see and read here will lead you to experience Grace Church in person. The pages on this site are filled with helpful information about the life and mission we share in the city of Alexandria, in the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia, and throughout the world.

Our life together is supported by our corporate worship, specifically the Holy Eucharist. Grace Church is well known for the “beauty of holiness” celebrated in liturgy, music, the splendor of our worship space and many, many lay ministries of dedicated volunteers. The clergy and lay professional staff are eager to welcome newcomers.

Please contact me by e-mail (rector@gracealex.org) or telephone (703-549-1980) if you have any questions or concerns about our parish activities and ministries. Volunteers and staff are available every weekday in our parish office from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

These are exciting times to explore our spiritual journeys. Grace Church has been a center for worship, a school for discipleship and a community for healing since 1855. We seek to serve Our Lord Jesus Christ in all that we do. Our community has so many wonderful opportunities for worship and service. Together, we can grow in our knowledge and in our love of God.

This is the day the Lord hath made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.(Psalm 118:24)

   Peace,
 The Reverend Robert H. Malm
