Rite 13 is a two year program for middle schooled aged youth, with a focus on celebrating the individuality of each young person and their creative potential. This class helps youth explore who they are, who God is, and how we can work and grow together with God in the world.
A special Rite 13 liturgy is celebrated at a Sunday morning worship service for youth who have just turned thirteen. The liturgy is a rite of passage, loosely based on the Jewish tradition of bar-mitzvah, from childhood to adulthood. Additionally, about twice each year, Grace’s worship services explicitly celebrate our children and youth on Youth Sundays, featuring children of all ages leading the worship, giving sermons, reading the Lessons, greeting visitors and more.
Rite 13 meets on Sunday mornings each week, and for monthly Sunday evening fellowship.
