What: A clergy-led procession from Grace / La Gracia Episcopal Church to our neighbors in Arlandria / Chirilagua. We will meet and greet whoever comes out, sing and break bread together before walking back.
Why: This unifying, positive event is meant to be
- an expression of love and solidarity
- a way of meeting and/or reconnecting with our neighbors
- a joyful demonstration of strength in community
- an ecumenical event, welcoming all
How can I help?: Join us! Wear comfortable walking shoes, weather-appropriate clothes and a smile. Bring an open heart. Although this is not a bread drive, walkers are encouraged to bring a loaf of bread to share or give away. (No nuts please) Walkers may make and carry signs with special messages like "Walk in Love" or "Love Thy Neighbor" Please refrain from political messages as this event is focused on positive common bonds.
Where: We will start walking from Grace Episcopal Church (3601 Russell Road, Alexandria, VA 22305) and go to Arlandria (exact route TBD)
