During Lent, Adult Forum will be drawing on the collective wisdom of the Grace Church community. We will begin March 6 with parishioners briefly sharing books they have found meaningful – a great way to get ideas for possible Lenten reading. Later sessions will focus on personal experiences of closeness to God, spiritual practices, and coping skills. Those who have already participated in adult forum presentations are welcome to volunteer again. For more information about each of the Forums below, Click Here to connect with Anne Boris.
March 6: Books That Changed Us – Several parishioners will share briefly books that have been transformative or deeply meaningful in their lives. Although it will be hard for some of us to narrow the choice, we’re asking everyone to choose one book, and present it in five minutes. (Click Here to Connect with Mary Stewart).
March 13: Thin Places Close to Home: Help in Hard Times – For March 13, we’re looking for experiences of the presence of God closer to home, especially during these last two difficult years. We’re looking for many presenters who will each share one picture or symbolic image and speak for about five minutes. (Click Here to Connect with Sarah Schultz).
March 20: Making the Bible Part of Your Week – We listen to scripture readers each Sunday at church, but the Bible is there for us every day. We’d love to hear from you how you encounter the Bible outside Sunday services (five-minute slots available). (Click Here to Connect with Teresa Preston).
