Beth El Hebrew Congregation Alexandria has invited local faith communities to participate in their annual event to combat dehydration. Volunteers are needed to assist with making packets of salt, sugar, baking soda and potassium chloride. These packets are used to combat dehydration caused by Cholera and other diseases. According to the World Health Organization, every 70 packets of these electrolytes can save a life. This year, the packets will be sent to Haiti in collaboration with the Haiti Micah Project, which Grace sponsors.
We are looking for volunteers from the Grace Community to help stuff packets and/or make donations to support the project. The event is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Beth El Hebrew Congregation at their location on Seminary Road (listed below). For more information and/or assistance with volunteer signup, please contact Jennifer Pease at Jennifer.pease@gracealex.org. You can sign up to volunteer online at: https://www.signupgenius.com/
If you would like to make a donation, please reference ORT on the memo line of the check.
