Amar, Proclamar y Servir a Dios a través de

  • life-giving liturgical worship
  • joyful community
  • empowering others

We live our mission through worship, in which lay adults, children and youth participate alongside our clergy.  Traditional, life-giving Eucharistic liturgy and fine music are hallmarks of worship at our parish, and we have weekly services in both English and Spanish.  We create a joyful community with a harvest of fellowship activities and events for all ages.  We empower and serve others through vital ministries, particularly around feeding the hungry.  Please explore our website to get to know us or, better yet, come visit!

Musings from Mother Jenny 04.05.2024

I must say Grace Church wears Easter well! Moving through the fading light of Maundy Thursday to the somber dark of Good Friday, Holy Saturday and the beginning of the Easter Vigil made the arrival of Easter all the brighter. The altar, a few days earlier stripped bare, was now brimming with the brightness of Easter glory. Candles galore, flower arrays extraordinaire, adorning lilies and greenery, celebratory frontal, clergy in full Eucharistic splendor, accompanying acolytes, the organ, brass and choir sounding forth Easter joy and praise. The arrival of Easter was amazing! A huge heart-felt thank you to everyone who helped Grace Church usher in Easter this year, including all those who attended these services in person and virtually!

And yet another thing I would say is that Grace Church lives Easter well! There is joy in being together as community. There is hope in new life. There is trust and knowing that things which were cast down are being raised up, and things which had grown old are being made new, and all things are being brought to their perfection by him whom all things are made, which is a prayer for the Church.

In this Easter Season there will be many opportunities for us to celebrate and be the Church. Sunday worship is one way. Outreach and formation opportunities are being planned as well as times for fellowship. There are also conversations to held as we continue to discern our way forward. Mother Shirley Smith Graham, our diocesan Transition Minister, will be meeting with the vestry on April 16 to establish a process and timeline for steps that need to be taken before making decisions about your next rector. The vestry and I will then host a parish-wide conversation on April 21 after 10:30am worship to inform you as best we can of the work ahead. Continuing to build on our Sacred Conversations during Lent, Affinity Group conversations will be offered in May so watch for these dates and times.

Yes, Easter abounds at Grace Church! Keep your hearts and minds open for the many signs of new life and Resurrection.

Easter Blessings,
Mother Jenny+
