Youth Sunday, October 21
We will be celebrating Youth Sunday on the 21st of October and it will include the Rite 13 ceremony. If your youth has turned 13 and would like to participate, please contact Jenni at jenni.faires@gracealex.org.
Adult Forum: Local Refugees in Our Town. Can we help?
Many churches have come together to assist refugees in our city who are struggling to find a new life in America. Most are Afghans who have helped our troops during our long deployment but became dangerously exposed as we drew down our presence. In response, the U.S. created a Special Immigration Visa program to grant them refuge in our country. Once their government support ends, life for these refugees becomes a big challenge. Our Outreach Committee has joined other churches in offering some financial support. Please come to our Adult Forum during the coffee hour to hear their story from two volunteers – Pierre Shostal of Immanuel on the Hill and Matthew Dumont-Machowski, our new seminarian.
Choral Evensong, October 21 at 5:00 p.m.
Please mark your calendars for Choral Evensong sung by the Boys and Girls Choir and the Adult Choir. The music is George Dyson’s Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis in D and Stanford’s Beati quorum via. Please invite a friend to this beautiful 45-minute evening service. The Holy Eucharist immediately follows the closing organ voluntary.

Are you new to Grace and ready to learn more about the church you have been visiting? Join clergy, staff, members of the Vestry and the Evangelism team on October 21, following the 5:00 Evensong.
