Welcome to Grace!

We are…..

  • A center for worship and fellowship;
  • A school for discipleship and stewardship; and
  • A community for healing and outreach.

We live our mission through regular participation in the Eucharist and the practice of our baptismal promises. Traditional Eucharistic liturgy and fine music are hallmarks of worship at our parish. Please explore our website to get to know us or, better yet, come visit!

The registration deadline is August 15th.

Our theme for 2022 is “Walk in love, as Christ loved us,” which is taken from Ephesians 5:2. The full verse continues “…and gave himself for us, an offering and sacrifice to God.” The verse is a familiar one since it is often used during the liturgy as the offertory sentence. After the isolation and loneliness many of us have experienced during the pandemic, we hope this theme will remind us that we are all walking on this journey together, and that the love of Christ continues to guide us in good times and in bad.

Shrine Mont is a great way for families, couples, and singles of all ages to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life and connect with other Grace folks in a casual and relaxed environment. During the weekend, you can choose to participate in scheduled activities such as worship services, arts and crafts, and social gatherings, or you can take it easy by reading, hiking, or relaxing in the famous Shrine Mont rocking chairs. You can do as much or as little as you like!

Other highlights of the weekend are an outdoor worship service shared with La Gracia at the Cathedral Shrine of the Transfiguration, field games, the star-studded Grace Church Follies on Saturday night, and traditional southern food favorites, including a quintessential southern lunch of fried chicken and mashed potatoes after Sunday morning Eucharist.

Optional for all, whether or not you can make it to Shrine Mont this year: official Grace Shrine Mont 2022 commemorative t-shirts! Two different shirts are being sold: Unisex Crewneck and Women’s V-Neck.  You do *not* have to sign up for a room to purchase a shirt.  The deadline for ordering shirts is August 15. Shirts are available by pre-order only, no shirts for sale on site. Click here to read more about and order a t-shirt (scroll to the bottom of the registration page for t-shirt ordering and info).

The Shrine Mont coordinators and committees are busy planning activities, worship, meals, and more. With the worst aspects of the pandemic behind us, this year’s event will be in person. The Shrine Mont staff have an updated webpage that provides general information and updates regarding their Covid-19 policies. You can reach that page here: https://shrinemont.com/covid-19/.

If you plan to join us at Shrine Mont, please sign up as soon as possible so that we can build an accurate estimate of attendance.  The deadline to register is August 15.

Below is a list of prices to attend per person, which includes room and board Friday dinner through Sunday lunch. There are no credits or refunds for meals you will not eat or nights you will not stay; it’s a flat rate for the weekend. If you would like to stay Thursday night as well, you may stay in a room at a rate of $65 per person regardless of age or occupancy. On Thursday, you also may add on meals at a rate of $25 per person, which will include dinner and lunch; however, there will need to be at least 18 people total ordering meals in order to open the kitchen. (The Shrine Mont coordinators will communicate with all those who have registered for Thursday meals to confirm availability before the event.)

If you’d like to pay online via credit card, enter your information in the registration form (available by clicking here) (registrarse en español aquí) and click the SUBMIT button. Otherwise, you can meet us during the Sunday morning coffee hour for the next few weeks to fill out a paper registration form and pay by check.

Please send any questions you might have to this year’s coordinators, Lorna Worley, Heather Hurley, or Kemp Williams at [email protected].
